Obituary of John Hawks

John Travis Hawks, 68, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, October 9, 2009, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.
Mr. Hawks was born June 13, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late John Travis Sr. and Mary (Lock) Hawks. He worked at Vitronics and he was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Doniphan. He enjoyed his family, all sports and was an avid Cardinals fan.
On February 18, 1963, he married Delores Desich in Arkansas. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Rodney Hawks, Bryan Hawks and John Hawks all of Doniphan and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jim Gould.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009, at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Doniphan. The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. and burial will be at Beaver Dam Cemetery.
In lieu of flower memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Center.
