Obituary of Dorothy Archambeau

Dorothy Ann Ederer Archambeau, 90, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. Archambeau, daughter of Albert C. and Olive Elizabeth (Simpson) Ederer, was born June 3, 1921, in the Towles community. She attended school at Towles for a short time and the family then moved to Doniphan where she completed grade school and high school. Mrs. Archambeau entered DePaul School of Nursing in St. Louis in September of 1940. She specialized in surgery and remained in the St. Louis area until 1958.
Upon returning to Doniphan, she married Joseph Henry Archambeau on October 4, 1958, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Walter E. Ederer, Francis L. Ederer and Albert C. Ederer, Jr.
Mrs. Archameau is survived by one sister, Margaret Marie Auer of St. Louis.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, June 9, 2011, from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A funeral mass will be held Friday morning, June 10, 2011, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Coon officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery.
