Jerald J. Hagarty, 88, of Doniphan died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, MO. Mr. Hagarty was born January 2, 1922, in Hibbing, MN, to the late John Edward and Gladys (Anderson) Hagarty. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from General Motors where he worked in management.
On May 13, 1944, he married Marjorie Hagarty in Belleview, IL. She preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Jon Hagarty of Darien, IL and Carl Hagarty of Lincoln, MA; two daughters Linda Rhames of Doniphan and Susan Hagarty of Buffalo, WY; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hagarty was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one daughter, Maren Hagarty.
Private family services are planned at a later date.
