Harry Eugene "Gene" Frisk, 75, of Oxly, Missouri, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at John J. Perishing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Frisk, son of the late Harry and Mary (Gosvenor) Frisk, was born November 5, 1934, in Marionthal, Kansas. Formerly of California, Mr. Frisk retired as a self-employed builder and real estate agent, dairyman and farmer. He Loved to work, garden, remodel houses and travel. Mr. Frisk served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and U.S.S. Shangri-la Association.
On March 24, 1984, he was married Inez Adams in Carson City, Nevada. She survives.
Also surviving are five sons; Phillip Frisk of Doniphan, Rocky Frisk and Daniel Wyrick both of Oxly, Jason Frisk of Amarillo, Texas, and Micheal Wyrick of Atkins, Arkansas; one daughter, Carmen Zamastil of Fairdealing; seven sisters, Beatrice Miller, Berniece Smith, Genevieve Turnham, Geneva Obermyer, Fairy Hale, Fern Rowley and Janet Frisk, and one brother, Vern Frisk, all of California; nineteen grandchildren — Brandy, Sarah, Michelle, Quintin, Tara, Megan, Devon, Kyle, Justin, Josh, Julie-anne, Jayden, Caity, Caleb, Brooke, Christopher, Braden, Kimberly and Matthew; and ten great-grandchildren — Dominic, Alex, Lorallie, Chanler, McKenzie, Valerie, Kaydance, Sidney, Chyanna and Patrick.
Mr. Frisk was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Merle Frisk, and one son, Timothy Wyrick.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. with Bro. Fred Wiktorek and Bro. Luther Abbott officating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Old Swedish Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri, with full military honors.
