Nova V. King, 91 year old resident of Doniphan, died Monday, July 27, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Ms. King was born January 13, 1919 in Warm Springs AR to the late Elijah & Pearl (Carter) Sorrell.
Ms. King was a self employeed farmer and was liked by all. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of God.
On January 1, 1937 she married Karmun L. King in Gatewood MO. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1996
Ms. King is survived by one son Karmun King of Salem AR and one daughter Geneva Crook of Fairdealing; one sister Imogene Hunt of Maryland; one granddaughter Jamie Welch and 2 great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Mary Lee Stevens & Roberta Trent and three brothers Foy Sorrell, Bill Sorell and Junior Sorrell.
Funeral services will be Friday July 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Miller officiating. Visitation will Thursday July 29, 2010 from 5-8 P.M. at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
