Burford Lane Martin the son of Burford Hardy Martin and Maybelle Shelby Martin was born October 10, 1940 in the Los Angles, California area, and passed away his home in Mountain View, Missouri Friday morning August 20, 2010 making his age 69 years.
Lane was united in marriage to Kathleen Banks, July 19, 2004. Lane and Kathleen made their home in the Mountain View area. Lane worked as a machinist in the steel industry.
He enjoyed hunting with his Summersville friends as much as his health would permit. He loved to go to the farm in Gatewood, MO to hunt with his cousins and friends.
Preceding Lane in death are his parents, Burford and Maybelle Martin, 1 son Brian Martin, and his brother Alfred Darrell Martin.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Kathleen Martin of the home in Mountain View, Missouri; step-daughter Brandi Crider and husband Casey of Birch Tree, MO, two step grand-daughters, Lorelai and Lexie Crider of Birch Tree, MO; 5 aunts, Margarite Nadar of Doniphan, MO, Mescal West and husband Marion of Poplar Bluff, MO, Iris Jordan of Doniphan, MO, Maxine Shirley and husband Floyd of Millington, Tennessee; and Bonnie Montgomery of Roswell, New Mexico and a niece Lisa Docker of California, and a host of many cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, Missouri with visitation held Sunday August 22 at Bradford Funeral Home, Summersville, MO from 6 to 8 PM and Visitation at Edwards Funeral Home from 10:30 Am until service time at 12:00 on Monday August 23. Interment will be in Doniphan City Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Local Services are under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
