Ruth Evelyn Pew, 86 year old resident of Doniphan, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Pew was born October 23, 1923 in Powelton, W.V. Mrs. Pew and her husband were former partners with John Kassinger in Kassinger-Pew Heating and Air. She attended the First Church of God in Doniphan, and enjoyed making numerous craft items.
On December 22, 1972 she was married to Raymond E. Pew, Sr. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Claude Canfield of Auburn, California; Bill Canfield of Doniphan, MO; one daughter, Patricia Hipp of Titus, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service for Mrs. Pew will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September, 14 at the First Church of God in Doniphan, with Bro. Larry Earls officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until service time.
The family requests donations to Preferred Hospice.
