Dennis Allen Smith, 60, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Friday October 1, 2010, at his residence in Fairdealing.
Mr. Smith was born March 29, 1950, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Leora "Happy" (Davis) and Hanford Smith. He was a decorated veteran in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion and Doniphan VFW post #3485 and was of the Baptist faith.
On July 13, 1968, he married Brenda Shoulders in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She Survives.
Survivors include three sons; Dennis W. Smith of Charlston, South Carolina, Chad A. Smith of Dallas, Georgia, and Shane T. Smith of Haroldsburg, Kentucky; two sisters, Theresa Vancil of Doniphan and Margaret Rushin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and his beloved mother, Leora "Happy" Smith.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Hanford Smith.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday, October 4, 2010, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in Doniphan City Cemetery with full Military Honors.
