Obituary of Sharon Drane

Sharon R. Drane, 65, lifetime resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Colonial Home in Doniphan. Ms. Drane, daughter of Ray Tribble and Lois (Smith) Tribble Swigert, was born June 13, 1946, in Moline, Illinois. She was retired as a dispatcher with the Doniphan City Police. Ms. Drane was a member of the Women's Civic Club and was involved with the annual Craft Fair. Sharon enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, watching TV, cooking and spending special times with her granddaughter, Cheyenne. She attended the Doniphan First Church of God. Surviving are one son, Johnny Drane of Doniphan; her mother, Lois Swigert of Doniphan; two sisters, Gerry Hodo and Linda Ellis, both of Doniphan; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Drane, Courtney Carlile and Caitlin Carlile; and one step-brother, Terry Swigert. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Tribble, and step-father, Gene Swigert. Visitation for Ms. Drane will be Tuesday, August 9, 2011, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Larry Bashaw officiating. Burial will be in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
