Obituary of Zora Watson

Zora Lee Watson, 76, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, Missouri. Mrs. Watson, daughter of George and Lexie (Cross) McKnight, was born April 17, 1934, in Caldwell, Idaho. She was an owner/operator of a sawmill business. Mrs. Watson enjoyed watching westerns on television and spending time with her grandchildren. She was married to Homer Lee Watson on January 21, 1957, at Alton, Missouri. He preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters; Janet Martin and Barbara Staten, both of Monkey Island, Oklahoma; and Virginia Wilson of Doniphan, Missouri; one step-daughter, Marylee Ragazinsky of Gaitersburg, Maryland; one sister, Cecile Watson of Doniphan, Missouri; two brothers, Kenneth McKnight and Richard McKnight, both of McMinneville, Oregon; and eleven grandchildren, Tammy Rose, Clint Payne, Brad Payne, Tiffany Harris, Mary Strong, Vicky Moore, B.J. Wilson, Eric Wilson, Tracy Tesreau, Teresa Friend and Tina Wofford; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Lexie and Lance Rose, Blake and Morgan Payne, Breann and Kaitlyn Harris, Judd and Samantha Strong, C.J., William and Jason Moore, Hannah and Hunter Wilson, Alex, Eli and little Eric Wilson, Justin Tesreau, Ethan and Bailey Friend, James, Kimberly and Ashley Wofford; and step-grandchildren, Debbie Higgins and children, Milton J. Russ III and children, Cindy Atkins and children and William Lee Russ and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lexie McKnight, her husband, Homer Watson, four sisters, Ruth, Wanda, Marge and Barbara and two brothers, Ronald McKnight and Marvin McKnight. A private burial service will take place Tuesday morning, February 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Bardley Cemetery with Reverend Lonnie Watson officiating.
