Mary Elizabeth Orum, 84, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Orum, daughter of John A. and Lenny (August) Price, was born November 18, 1926, in Titusville, Pennsylvania. She had been a retail clerk at Western Auto. Mrs. Orum volunteered with the fire department and Current River State School and was a member of the Tri-County Search and Rescue and CB Club. As a young woman she worked at a bakery in Titusville, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed crafting.
On September 15, 1946, she was married to William Robert Orum, Jr. in Titusville, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1996.
Surviving are four children; Boneita Campbell and Lorenia Dunivan, both of Doniphan, Missouri, Lawerence Robert Orum of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Deloris Irene Grove of Titusville, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Pat Foley of Titusville, Pennsylvania, and Ruth Moorehead of Hickory, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Hazel Grove Brenner, and three brothers, Junior Grove, Richard Grove and Francis Price.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.
