Obituary of James Anderson

James Earl Anderson, 75, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, February 28, 2011, in the emergency room of the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.
Mr. Anderson, son of Holman and Lela (Pendergraft) Anderson, was born August 1, 1935, in Houston, Texas. He was a banker and a Baptist minister. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Baptist Church of Bolivar, Missouri, and enjoyed woodworking and painting.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Williams of Doniphan, Missouri; one brother, Eugene Anderson of Doniphan, Missouri; and three nephews, Michael Lynn Williams, Mark Williams and Randy Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Thelma L. Long, and one brother, Harold Anderson.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning, March 3, 2011, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Towles Cemetery with Brother Wes Flaugh officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Current River Baptist Church Mission Fund.
