Elmer Junior Leonard, 75, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Westwood Hills Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Leonard, son of John and Stella (Heacock) Leonard, was born November 15, 1935, in Clay County, Arkansas. He was a farmer and had served in the U.S. Army.
On November 12, 1966, he was married to Maxine Bridges in Corning, Arkansas. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Paul J. Leonard of Pennsylvania; one step-son, Ted Henson of Doniphan, Missouri; three brothers, Hop Leonard of Clarksville, Arkansas, Bob Leonard of Naylor, Missouri, and Timmy Ray Leonard of Moark, Arkansas; three grandsons and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation for Mr. Leonard will be Friday evening, March 4, 2011, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Graveside services will be held Saturday morning, March 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Towles Cemetery.
