Obituary of Rose Randel

Rose Randel, 91, lifelong resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Randel, daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Stepnick) Lock, was born July 5, 1917, in Ripley County, Missouri. She retired as manager of Finch Drug Store in Doniphan. Mrs. Randel was a member (and past president) of Business and Professional Women and a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church. On August 6, 1943, she was married to John Nace Randel in Doniphan. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1986. Mrs. Randel was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Hawks, and ten brothers, Ed Lock, Albert Lock, Leo Lock, Harold Lock, Bill Lock, Mike Lock, Charles Lock, Frank Lock, Henry Lock and George Lock. Visitation will be Friday evening, February 20, 2009, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with a Parish Prayer service to begin at 6:00 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday morning, February 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Doniphan. Burial will follow in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
