Alice Harriet Deckard, 66, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Ms. Deckard, daughter of the late Harry E. and Thelma J. (Laymon) Faudree, Sr., was born April 6, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas. She was formerly employed with Home HealthCare. Ms. Deckard enjoyed her cats and she especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons; Richard Allen Taylor and John Deckard, both of Doniphan, Randy Earl Taylor of Fall River, Kansas, and Kevin Wayne Taylor of Cherryville, Kansas; one sister, Norma Jean Perkins of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Cal Callahan, of Springfield, Virginia, and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday morning, April 10, 2009, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
