Ezra Loftis
Ezra James Loftis, 88, of Doniphan died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the Current River Nursing Center. Mr. Loftis was born September 14, 1917 in Doniphan to Jessie & Hattie (Brooks) Loftis. Formerly of Fairfield, Calif., he was retired from having served on a submarine in the U.S. Navy from 1939 to 1959. He enjoyed fishing & hunting. On October 25, 1945, he married Charlotte B. Caldwell in Boston. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2005. Survivors include one brother, Robert Loftis of Doniphan; one nephew; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Carter Sr., Joe, and William.
