Shirley Y. Zahn, 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Zahn, daughter of the late Dexter and Ethel (Noel) Stotts, was born March 17, 1937, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She retired as a factory quality control inspector. Mrs. Zahn had volunteered at the Lean on Me Food Pantry and was a member of the V.F.W Post #3485 Ladies Auxiliary.
She had been married to Harold Zahn who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three children; Susan Portzen of Round Lake, Illinois, Norman Ransone of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Jerry Ransone of Huntsville, Alabama; three brothers, Dewayne Stotts of Doniphan, Paul Stotts of Gatewood, Missouri, and Leon Stotts of Rockford, Illinois; and one sister, Wilma Steffel of Doniphan.
Mrs. Zahn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Kirk Stotts and Lecil Stotts.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2009, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
