Frances Roberts
Molly Frances Roberts, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, formerly of Doniphan, died Monday, May 28, 2007, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Roberts was born January 18, 1925, at Peach Orchard, Arkansas. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #3485 and enjoyed bingo and crafts.
On December 23, 1943, she was married to Adolphus H. "Doc" Roberts in Ripley County. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1966.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by one daughter, Beverly (and Gerald) Drane of Poplar Bluff and one son, Chuck (and Judy) Roberts of Jackson, Missouri; one brother, Arnold Ponder of Washington; five grandchildren, Angela Wine, Sarah Roberts, Jason Drane, Sam Ryan and Kim Maltivz; and one great-grandson, Rylan Drane.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Jane Kenley; six brothers, Victor Ponder, Waymon Ponder, Leland Ponder, W. T. Ponder, Charles Ponder and Joe Ponder; one sister, Grace Ponder; and her parents, Alva and Mabel Mann Ponder.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Jared Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
