W. C. Marsh
William Cordell "W. C." Marsh, 92, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Marsh was born January 23, 1915, in Macon County, Tenn. He had worked in a sawmill.
On April 23, 1935, he married Ethel Virginia Marsh (Watson) in Pine. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2000. Survivors include two sons, Lindel Marsh and Roy Marsh, both of Doniphan; two daughters, Sue Bell of Doniphan and Shirley Day of Wyanett, Ill.; two sisters, Estell Hawkins of Pittsburg, Kans., and Helen Qualls of Springfield; several nieces and nephews; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Robert Marsh; one daughter, Edna Wilkerson; his parents, William Denton and Lula Florence (Brown) Marsh; one brother, James Edward Marsh; two sisters, Pearl Strickland and Myrtle Smith; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Edwards Funenral Home in Doniphan; The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Brother Alan Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
