John Henry Davidson, 80, of Fairdealing died Monday, February 19, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Davidson was born September 8, 1926, in Fairdealing to the late Henry & Dora (Rogers) Davidson. He had served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Hospital Administrator for the VA. He was a member of the American Legion, Masons, and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed his farm, hunting, fishing & his grandsons. On March 12, 1949, he married Berneice Casey in Piggott, AR. She preceded him in death in February 25, 1994. Survivors include two sons, Steven Davidson of Fairdealing & Donald Davidson of Topeka, KS and two daughters Susan Courtnay of Twin Falls, ID and Judy Menke of Topeka KS. Five grandsons Patrick Davidson, Samuel Davidson, Jarret Courtnay, Cameron Courtnay & Ethan Menke. Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Alida Pettypool, and three brothers Art Davidson , Jim Davidson and Bill Davidson. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday, February 21 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with Donald Davidson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Ripley County Library, 207 Locust St., Doniphan, MO 63935.
