Rodney Francis “Bud” Cornwell, 85, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the Westwood Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Mr. Cornwell was born on April 5, 1930, in Wappalo, Iowa, to the late Russell and Bernice Edwards Cornwell. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Navy and was in the Real Estate/Land Sales industry in Arizona. Mr. Cornwell was a recreational pilot and enjoyed boating and other motor sports. He was a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ.
On December 26, 2002, he was married to Nancy Bassett, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jim (Sue) Cornwell of Doniphan, MO, and Michael J. Cornwell of Glendale, AZ; two step-children, William Moore and and Kathy Moore, both of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Daniel Cornwell, Bonnie Kernan, Ryder Cornwell, and Meeya Cornwell; and two step-grandchildren, Kristin Woosley and Ani Weinman.
A memorial service will take place, Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Doniphan Church of Christ located on Highway 160.
