Douglas Wilson, 66, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan. Mr. Wilson, son of Cecil Samuel and Willie Cloe (Brooks) Wilson, was born September 23, 1949, in Doniphan. He had been an employee of a termite/pest control company and loved working on cars. He attended an auto mechanics school in St. Louis, MO and was a certified mechanic. A proud moment for Doug was being awarded a plaque from Dan Craig and James Bollin for his outstanding contribution to the probation and parole office of Poplar Bluff. He served from 1981—86 and ran court classes for young people with alcohol and drug addictions, as he struggled with these dependencies his own life. Mr. Wilson was a member of River Valley Community Church. Surviving are two daughters, Casie Campbell of Springfield, Missouri; Michelle Wilson of Springfield, MO; and one son Jeremy Wilson of Springfield, MO; one sister, Janice (and Gary) Reeves of Doniphan; three brothers, Alan (and Cathy) Wilson, Lyndal (and Carol) Wilson and Joe Wilson, all of Doniphan; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Wilson. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilson Cemetery near Doniphan with Brother Alan Wilson officiating.
