Steven Louis King, 53, of Grandin, Missouri, died Sunday, August 7, 2011, at his residence in Carter County.
Mr. King, son of John Louis and Ida Anita (Webb) King, was born July 18, 1958, in Ripley County, Missouri. He worked on industrial chimneys. Mr. King enjoyed turkey, squirrel and deer hunting, fishing, fixing things and being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
On January 8, 1978, he was married to Sarah Ritchey in Grandin, Missouri, and she survives.
Also surviving are three children; Ashley R. (and Wesley) Staggs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Megan L. King and Steven W. (and Aleshia) King, both of Grandin; his mother and step-father, Anita and Bob Quinton of Grandin; his maternal grandmother, Georgia Webb of Grandin; two grandchildren, Blaire and Ethan; three brothers, Richard Andrew King, Dennis King and John Floyd King, all of Grandin; and four sisters, Cathy King, Brenda King and Lena Griffin, all of Grandin, and Lorna Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Louis King, paternal grandparents, Richard and Catherine King and maternal grandfather, Herbert Webb.
Visitation for Mr. King will begin Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with brother Pete Joplin officiating. Burial will be in the Grandin City Cemetery.
