Ronnie E. (Bob) Quinton, 70 year old resident of Grandin, MO departed this life Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Riverways Manor in Van Buren, MO. Mr. Quinton was born May 11, 1946 in Piedmont, MO to the late George and Imogene Shell Quinton. Bob was a truck driver and worked on the river boats. He loved his family dearly, loved playing music, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and archery. Bob was also the Chaplain for the Grandin Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He had been in the US Navy and was a Merchant Marine, and a member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Grandin.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by 1 son, Steve King, 2 brothers, Roger and Gary Quinton, and 2 grandchildren, Robert Bailey and Christina Brunzel.
On January 19, 1976, in Doniphan, MO he was married to Anita Webb, who survives. Also surviving are 7 children, Dennis King of Grandin, MO; John King of Ellsinore, MO; Cathy King of Grandin, MO; Brenda King of Grandin, MO; Richard King of Grandin, MO; Lorna Williams and her husband Jerry of Poplar Bluff, MO; Lena Griffin and her fiancée David Walka of Grandin, MO; 1 sister, Ellen Maghrabi of Oregon; 1 brother Jimmy Quinton of Bloomfield, MO; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Quinton will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Grandin, MO. A potluck dinner will follow the service.
