Lucille Simon
Lucille Simon, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Simon was born January 27, 1918, in Enid, Oklahoma. She was a housewife who enjoyed bingo and gardening. Mrs. Simon was a member of the Church of God Faith of Abraham.
On March 20, 1937, she was married to John C. Simon in Ripley County. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1990.
Surviving are one son, John Simon, of Doniphan and one daughter, Mary Durbin, of Doniphan, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Paul Franklin Simon; her parents, Arch Boshears and Lizzy Franklin Boshears; and four brothers, Carter Boshears, James Boshears, Carl Reeves Boshears and Ronald Eugene Boshears.
Visitation will be Friday, June 22, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Gore officiating. Burial will follow at the Elizabeth Cemetery.
