Obituary of Paul R. Maples

Paul Raymond Maples, 67, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Monday, December 19, 2016, in Ripley County, Missouri.
Mr. Maples, son of Robert W. (Bill) Maples and Hattie (Hastings) Farmer Maples, was born May 21, 1949, at the family home near Ponder, Missouri.
He was retired from farming and construction work, building new houses and remodeling. He had worked in Colorado, California, Washington, Alaska and many other places including Ripley County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions, cooking and life in the country.
Paul is survived by three sons; Dwayne (Crystal) Maples, Robin Maples and Paul (Jessica) Maples; four daughters, Lisa (Glen) Yazzie, Misty (Brian) Tillman, Stacy (Rodney) Vincent and Brooke (C. J.) Maples; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, DeeDee Kern of Carterville, Missouri, Alice (Barney) Hoefer of Doniphan and Virginia Carol (Tony) Trice of St. Charles, Missouri; two brothers, Bill (Lynn) Maples of Doniphan and Wymon (Rollene) Maples of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and one sister-in-law, Mavis Farmer of Zillah, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George and Coy Farmer, and one sister, Betty Mae Farmer (Cobb).
Memorial services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m., December 27, 2016, at Edwards Funeral Home with Edward Holland officiating.
