Obituary of Lyndal Bruce Wilson

Lyndal Bruce Wilson was born on July 21, 1952 in Ripley County, Missouri.  He departed this world to the peaceful arms of his Lord on June 25th, 2017.  He was a lifelong resident of Ripley County.  It was in his hometown of Doniphan where he enjoyed his favorite pass times of fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.  He was an active member of River Valley Community Church.  Lyndal was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Navy.  He spent his career as a Certified Radiology Technician retiring from John J. Pershing Veterans Hospital in 2001.

 

He was the proud father of three children Daniel Wilson, Melissa Christian, and MeLynda (Denver) Jackson all of Doniphan, Mo.  He was a loving grandfather to 8 grandchildren.  Cody (Chyenne) Wilson of Fort Campbell, KY., Brittany Wilson of Pocahontas, AR.  Ethen and Caden Christian, Trey, Chloe, Cooper, and Maebry Jackson all of Doniphan.  He had two great granddaughters Mia and Kia Wilson.

 

He has two surviving siblings Alan (Kathy) Wilson of Doniphan and Janice (Gary) Reeves of Doniphan.  He has many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Willie Wilson.  Also preceding him death were his brothers Gary, Doug, and Joe Wilson.

Visitation will be at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan on Tuesday  June 27th from 12 to 2pm with a funeral following officiated by Bro. Alan Wilson.  He will be laid to rest near his family at Wilson Cemetery with full military honors.
