Obituary of Matthew Dwayne Schrimsher

Matthew Dwayne Schrimsher, 31-year-old husband and father, departed this life on Monday, July 31, 2017.  Matt was born on November 15, 1985 in Poplar Bluff, MO and was a lifelong resident of the Briar, MO community.  For the past 10 years, Matt has worked as the Parts Manager at Northend Auto Parts in Doniphan.  He enjoyed spending his time outdoors: playing basketball, football, and baseball with his kids, camping with loved ones, hiking, and sitting around a campfire.  Matt loved old country music and cold beer and loved spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Erin (Ruhl) Schrimsher and their children: Mason Kyle Schrimsher of Naylor; Faith Rose Schrimsher, Benjamin Michael Ruhl II, Matti Lynn Belle Schrimsher, Myla Jayne Schrimsher, all of the home; and Luke Joshua Ruhl of Doniphan.   He is also survived by his older brother Roy (Spud) Schrimsher Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Mo; Father and Mother in Law Chuck and Thelma Aldrich of Doniphan, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, 4 brother in laws, 2 sister in laws, 13 nieces and nephews, and close friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his younger brother, Ethan Kyle Schrimsher; his parents Roy Sr. and Debbie (O’Neal) Schrimsher; maternal grandparents John and Maudie (Hastings) O’Neal, and paternal grandparents Henry Sr. and Mattie (Williamson) Schrimsher.

Visitation for Matt will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00am, with the Funeral following at 1:00pm at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Carr and Pastor Kevin Roposo officiating.
