Obituary of Sam Cure
Samuel L. Cure, 73, of Grandin, Missouri, died Monday, September 25, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Cure was born April 14, 1944, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He had worked on the assembly line at a plastics factory. Mr. Cure enjoyed woodworking, hunting and taking care of his animals and was a member of the Logan Creek Baptist Church.
On December 1, 1997, he was married to Wilma Beaman in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and she survives.
Also surviving are 5 daughters: Donna (and Tim) Roden of New Lebanon, New York, Nancy (and Nolan) Sullivan and Wendy (and Jason) Raney, both of Doniphan, Missouri, Julia Orick of Qulin, Missouri, and Sheila (and Matt) Wagy of Poplar Bluff; 1 son, Joe Cure; 6 sisters, Virginia Cottrell of Pennsylvania, Barb Morris of Hancock, Massachusetts, his twin, Sandra King of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Tina Harrington of New York, Sarah Jane Cure of Albany, New York, and Wanda Reed of New York; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Tookie. Myra and Helen Roberts
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will start at 2:00 p.m.in the funeral home chapel with Brother Doug Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery.
