Obituary of Jonny Michael Barnett

Jonny Michael Barnett, 67, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Mr. Barnett, son of James B. and Charlene (Wagner) Barnett, was born April 15, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri.  He had been a factory worker and was known for his love of fishing the Current River.  He was an avid collector of all sorts of river rocks, driftwood, pocket knives and liters and was a true artist talented at drawing and photography.  Mr. Barnett loved working with his hands and could build anything.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country during the Korean War.

Surviving are 3 children:  Jonny Paul Barnett of Truxton, Missouri, Jennifer Candeias of St. Louis and Jerad Barnett of Warrenton, Missouri;  and 1 sister, Sue McCaffrey of Doniphan.

A Military Ceremony will take place at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 1:30 p.m.
