Obituary of Jerry Don Rogers

Jerry Don Rogers, 75 year old resident of Doniphan, MO departed this life Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Rogers was born December 11, 1942 in Paragould, AR to the late Arlie “Chess” Rogers and Freda Slayton Johnson.  Jerry was a veteran of the US Army and had retired after working several years for Caterpillar in the Foundry Department.  He was also a  30 year Mason having belonged to several different lodges.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rogers was also preceded in death by his Step-Father, Cecil Johnson; Brother, Gary C. Rogers; Half-Brother Daniel P. Johnson; Half-Brother Arlie “Dobie” Rogers; and Half-Sister Elfreda Sanders.

 

Surviving Mr. Rogers is Daughter, Tina Lynn (Paul) Adams;  Brothers, Ben Johnson of Van Buren, MO; Jim Johnson of Jonesboro, AR; Sister Venus “Sis” Allen of Paragould, AR; Sisters-in-law Kathryn Rogers of O’Fallon, MO; Viola L. “Dot” Rogers of Paragould, AR; Judy Johnson of Jonesboro, AR; Step-Sisters Helen (Bud) Morgan of Van Buren, MO; Mary Cox of Arnold, MO; Grandsons, Evan J. Seckler of Doniphan, MO; Landon M. Adams of Washington, IL; Blaze W. Adams of Washington, IL; close friends Randy and Jason Higgs; and several nieces and nephews.
