Doug; I was sorry to hear that your Dad passed. My Dad often spoke of your Dad as they were classmates at Doniphan and good friends in Cape. They played basketball together at Doniphan. I lost Dad in 2001 and Mom last year. Please except our condolences.

Dear Family, I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed Mr. Halcomb as a teacher of mine at Southeast Missouri University in the early 70's. I was , as many returning Vietnam Veterans, serious about pursing our education, and my choice was in Business. He was my Professor for Distribution Management, and I still remember much of what I learned from him, even today. I would see him on occasion, and reminded him we had a nick name for him ...Wild Bill ! Where that came from I do not remember, but it suited him find. He will be missed, but my memory of him will not disappear. He did tell me he was proud of me , and that I would do a good job on the SEMO Board of Regents, when I was appointed. I appreciated hearing it from my " Ol Teacher", Thank you, Thomas M. Meyer, Cape Girardeau

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

My condolences to Mr Halcomb's family and friends. He was my marketing instructor and counselor at SEMO State. He was one of the best college teachers I had. He not only knew how to teach but he enjoyed it.

My family has such fond memories of Mr. Halcomb. Mr. and Mrs. Halcomb were always so nice to us when our parents played cards with them. We still laugh at those Doniphan stories.
Your family has our condolences.
