Obituary of Arnold Loyd Barton

Arnold Loyd Barton, 79, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, died Sunday, June 17, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Barton, son of Carl Ed and Elsie (Hart) Barton, was born August 29, 1938, in Reyno, Arkansas.  He had been a steel company manager.  Mr. Barton was an avid sportsman and enjoyed outdoor sports, especially hunting, fishing and boating.

He was first married to Ola Mae Hudson and she predeceased him.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Betz.

He later married Carol (Runnoe) Westberg in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 29, 2011, and she survives.

Also surviving are 3 children:  Patti Goodman of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Barton of Florissant, Missouri, and Lisa Barton Asher of Doniphan, Missouri; 1 brother, Fred Barton of Doniphan, Missouri; 4 step-children, Allen Runnoe and James E.  Westberg, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Dawn Marie Triem of Coal City, Illinois, and Teresa M. Niemi of Talof, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, June 22, 2018, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel and burial will take place in the Hitt Cemetery in Success, Arkansas.
