Obituary of Terry Dale Henson

Terry Dale Henson, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, August 23, 2018, at his residence in rural Ripley County.

Mr. Henson, son of Harley Lee and Mable M. (Atkinson) Henson, was born February 14, 1948, in Cairo, Illinois.  He was retired from BP Oil as a line spotter and enjoyed bingo and fishing as a hobby.  Mr. Henson was a member of Twin Pines Pentecostal Church, life member of VFW Post #3485 and a member of the American Legion in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1972.

On December 23, 1971, he was married to Brenda Muse in Flat River, Missouri, and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2012.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Mike and Troy Henson.

Surviving are 2 children:  Todd (and Cheri) Henson of Doniphan and Rebecca (and Kevin) Brown of Williamsville, Missouri; 3 sisters, Janice Henson, Terry’s twin sister Sherry (and Larry) Coleman of Steeleville and Jackie (and Roger) Sturgeon of Yukon, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Roy (and Pat) Henson of Imperial, Missouri; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, August 28, 2018, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will take place in the Bardley Cemetery.
