Obituary of Irene Devore

Irene Devore, 82-year-old resident of Gatewood, MO departed this life Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.   Ms. Devore was born May 29, 1936 in Greeenup, IL to the late Karl and Maude Gray Kimble.  She had retired from Vitronic in Doniphan, MO.  She liked to sew, loved watching and feeding her hummingbirds, enjoyed traveling and boat riding; she had a special relationship with her dogs, and particularly loved spending time with her grandkids.  She was of the Baptist faith.

 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 1 son, Bill Devore; Sisters, Marie Smallwood, Clara Flower, Margaret Fearington, Dorothy Tallman, Mary Walden; and Brothers, David and Kenneth Kimble.

 

Surviving are 2 children, Sabrena (Mike) Ryan of Gatewood, MO; Rusty Devore of Dexter, MO; 1 brother, Karl Joe Kimble of Greenup, IL; 5 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and 8 step-great-grandchildren.

 

Graveside services for Ms. Devore will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Doniphan Cemetery at 3:00 PM with Bro. Jared Baker officiating.  Visiting will begin at the Edwards Funeral Home on Friday at 1:30 PM.
