Obituary of Patricia Ione Bliss

Patricia Ione Bliss, 73 year old resident of Grandin, MO departed this life Monday, December 24, 2018 in Poplar Bluff, MO.  Mrs. Bliss was born January 21, 1945, in Grandin, MO to the late Orville and Agnes Smelser Swigert.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed bird watching, puzzle books, reading, was a great cook, and especially loved her family.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by children, Robert Orville Bliss and Calvin David Bliss; one grandchild, Briana Murray; and brothers Luin, Clifford, and Leonard Swigert.

 

On May 28, 1965, she was married to Milton Harold Bliss, in Ellsinore, MO, who survives.  Also surviving are children, Harold (Renee) Bliss of Corning, AR; Sheila Hodge of Grandin, MO; Gary (Beth) Bliss of Williamsville, MO; Greg Bliss of Grandin, MO; brother Wally Swigert of Jackson, TN; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

 

Graveside services for Mrs. Bliss will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at Noon in the Grandin City Cemetery with Bro. John Payne officiating.
