Obituary of Navella Fern Holmes

Navella Fern Holmes, 84, of Grandin, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at her residence in rural Ripley County.

Mrs. Holmes, daughter of Bennie and Freedonia (Gilpin) Baysinger, was born August 29, 1934, in Louis, Colorado.  She had been a homemaker.  Mrs. Holmes enjoyed ceramics, was an avid reader and did saw blade paintings.  She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Doniphan.

On February 12, 1950, she was married to Kelsey Holmes in Superior, Montana, and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2007.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Clint Marvin Holmes and Milton Dale Holmes; and 2 brothers, Delbert Baysinger and Norris Baysinger.

Surviving are 2 sons; Kelsey Lee Holmes of Doniphan and Bennie Richard Holmes of Belle Rive, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, Erin, Brittany, Chelsea, Amy and Jason; and 8 great-grandchildren Hunter, Holden, Hayden, Hunter, Timber, Brooke, Jasmine and Chloe.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, February 9, 2019, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.  The funeral service will start at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel and burial will be in the Beaver Dam Cemetery.
