Obituary of Ariana Ruby Schumer

Ariana Ruby Schumer, 14, of Naylor, Missouri, departed this life Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Miss Ariana, daughter of Thomas and Valerie (Gulley) Schumer, was born October 9, 2004, in St. Louis.  She was a student at Naylor High School.  Ariana was a member of the Center Hill Southern Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her family and other loved ones.

Surviving are her parents, Thomas and Valerie Schumer of Naylor; 4 sisters, Alexia Schumer, Lynnessa Schumer and Janae Schumer, all of the home; and Melissa (Andy) Tobias of Oxly, Missouri; 1 brother, Timothy (Tina) Schumer of Puxico, Missouri;  maternal grandmother, Mavis Gulley; paternal grandmother, Ollie Schumer; her best friend, Shasta Lutton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and nursing and personal staff.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Raymond Gulley and paternal grandfather, Bud Schumer.

Ariana was a sweet soul who touched many lives in her short time here.  All those who cared for her fell in love with her soft spirit.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Center Hill Cemetery with Brother Matthew Tanner officiating.
