Linden Kane was a rare person, who was also my uncle and a treasured friend. Being only 4 years senior to a large group of nieces and nephews, he was very much a bridge to our parents, and a fun-loving and adventurous friend. Linden and Janis shared their lives on the river with charm and enthusiasm, caring for each other. The old hymn "Shall We Gather At The River" shall forever remind me of our future reunion.
