Obituary of Carol Ann Persinger

Carol Ann “Kelly” Persinger, 78-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, July 29, 2019 in Columbia, MO.  On March 14, 1941, Kelly was born to the late Ewell H. and Delaine Gosnell Boone in Oklahoma City, OK.

Ms. Persinger was a registered nurse working in labor and delivery. She was also a childbirth educator. Kelly was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Democratic Women’s Association. She enjoyed gardening, farming, going to the beach and river, and her local bridge group. Kelly was a lover of all living things. She was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, Kelly was preceded in death by a daughter, Therese Vestal and one brother, Robert Boone.

Ms. Persinger is survived by her children, Natalie (Ken) Wommack of Katy, TX, Brian (Sofie) Coe of Fountain, CO, Kevin (Brenda) Coe of Doniphan, and Amy (Larry) Burton of Kirksville; grandchildren, Eric Morrow, Michael Morrow, Renee Kelly, Matthew Wommack, Victoria Fultz, Brian Coe, Jr., Daniel Coe, Christine Coe, Jessica Hemphill, Kevin Coe, Jr., Timothy Coe, Sascha Russell, Caitlyn Holder, Britteny Pierce, Cheyenne Riggins, and Chandler Burton Dixson; and great-grandchildren, Madeleine and Charlotte Morrow, Eva and Gabriel Morrow, Liam, Grace, Jack, and Riley Kelly, Zander and Wyatt Hobson, Conner Coe, Alexander and Nicholas Hemphill, Caiden Coe, Carleigh, Leslie, and Rosalee Russell, Emery and Ellie Holder, and Keller Riggins.

Visitation for Ms. Persinger will be Friday, August 2, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service following at the Doniphan City Cemetery.
