Obituary of JIm Dale Huffman

Jim Dale Huffman, 86-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at his residence. Jim was born September 18, 1932 in Morehouse, MO to the late Charlie and Laura Huffman.

Mr. Huffman retired from serving in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of VFW Post #3485 and the Doniphan American Legion. Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting.

On March 8, 1955, Mr. Huffman married Lois Annetta Helmens. She preceded him in death on October 14, 2018.

Jim is survived by his children, David (Chirl) Huffman of Thayer, MO and Brenda Huffman of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Dave (Sara) Huffman, Joey Huffman, Vanessa, Brittany, and Miranda Huffman; great-grandchildren, Alli, Lyla, Hanna, Jasmine, and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Huffman was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Berry, Cora Mae Bishop, and Helen Hefner; and his brothers, Willis Huffman, Tom Huffman, C. J. Huffman, Howard Huffman, Nelson Huffman, and Robert Huffman.

Visitation for Mr. Huffman will be at noon Friday, August 23, 2019 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
