Obituary of Linda Faye Ellis

Linda Faye Ellis, 68, of Doniphan, MO departed this life Tuesday, September 10, 2019. She was born January 4, 1951 in Pemiscot County to the late Robert Donivant and Ollie Motley Garner.

Linda enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and working in the yard. She had been employed at Waterloo and Briggs and Stratton before her retirement.

In 1990 Linda married Virgil Ellis in Arkansas. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Eddie Murphey of St. Louis, MO, Shawn Murphey of Fenton, MO, and Steven Pullen of Doniphan; a stepson, Virgil Ellis, Jr. of Hartford, IL; two stepdaughters, Debbie Murphey of Poplar Bluff, MO and Judy Scrivner of Doniphan; her sisters, Glenda Garner of Doniphan, Virginia Woodson of Doniphan, and Shirley Langworthy of Doniphan; her brothers, Dale (Brenda) Pruitt of Doniphan and Jimmy (Roxie) West, also of Doniphan; her grandchildren, Jordan, Amber, Shawn, Dawson, Cody, and Nick; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Bridgewater and her sisters, Vetrea Peoples and Rhonda David.

Visitation for Mrs. Ellis will be Friday, September 13, 2019 at noon in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Sanky Hall Cemetery in Poynor, MO.
