Oh how I will miss Miss Mavis. I always called her this because she let me. I will never forget one day at her house she asked me why I called her this. I explained to her that I did this because I had a deep respect for her and loved her like I loved my grandmother who was gone and I missed her so much but I saw her every time I saw her. She told me I could call her that then if I wanted and gave me the biggest hug and smile.

I worked with Mavis at the Doniphan Nursing Home. She and Raymond both worked there, and they were very kind, caring and gentle people to work with. She was a wonderful example to follow behind. Rest in peace, sweet lady.
