Obituary of Phillip W. Phelps

Phillip Phelps, 61-year-old resident of Grandin, MO departed this life Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Phillip was born December 6, 1958 in Kokomo, IN to the late Harold and Eleanore (Rapier) Phelps.
Mr. Phelps was self-employed at Phelps Heating and Air. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting his bow. He also especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
On February 4, 1979, Phillip married Kathy Betts in Sunfield, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Phillip (Felicia) Phelps of Grandin and Jeremy (Amanda) Chilton of Van Buren, MO; his sister, Carolyn (Russell) Gloyd of Doniphan, MO; and his brothers, Keith Phelps, Doug (Tracy) Phelps, and Glen (Amanda) Phelps, all of Grandin and Kevin Phelps and Harold (Lisa) Phelps, Jr., both of Doniphan; and his grandchildren, Mea, Lauren, Landon, Makena, Jackson, and Sawyer.
Phillip was preceded in death by one son, David Phelps, and his siblings, Glenda Phelps, Stephen Phelps, Joe Phelps, Cheryl Phelps, and Darrel Phelps.
Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., also in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Pete Joplin officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
