Obituary of Bill Ray Elder

Bill Ray Elder, 61-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to the late Bill Elder and Shirley (McKelsey) Cook.
Bill was an over-the-road truck driver, owner/operator. He loved to camp, fish, and spend time on Current River with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Elder served in the United States Army.
On December 23, 2010, Bill married Kathy Wooldridge at His Place in Doniphan. She survives. Together with their family, they made each other’s world complete.
Also surviving are his children, Valerie Bader, Alicia Bippus, Kelli (Doug) Hall, and Dustin Wooldridge, all of Doniphan; his sisters, Cheryl Moss and Ellen Anderson, both of Mexico, MO; his brother, Eddie Elder, of Kansas City, MO; his half-sister, Shirley Guerrero, of Naylor, MO; his half-brother, Sam Counts, of Joplin, MO; his grandchildren, Brittany (Terry), Trystan (Darcie), Madden, Braxton, Harley, Dalton, Garrett, and Abby; and his great-grandchildren, Lane and Raelynn.
Bill was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Liam Ray Woodworth.
A memorial visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at His Place Fellowship.
