Mr. Pete I. Hatley, former resident of Doniphan, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Enterprise, Alabama at the age of 85.
Pete was born May 21, 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Irvin D. and Ruby M. Smith Hatley. He served in the U.S. Army, including time spent in the Honor Guard and a tour in Italy. In 1956, he married his dear wife, Sharon, and they were blessed with six children. He had various occupations which included milkman, construction superintendent, and business manager. He and his wife owned and operated Plaza Donuts in Doniphan for many years. His many hobbies throughout the years included race car driving, poker, guitar, model trains, model cars, and golf. He was loved dearly by his family who will miss his wit and sense of humor the most.
In addition to his parents, two sons; Terry and Teddy Hatley preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Hatley, Enterprise, Alabama; two sons, Tim Hatley (Kim), Florida, Pat Hatley, Arkansas; two daughters, Cindee Sanchez and Laura Smith (Jason) both of Alabama; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, no services will be held at this time.
