Obituary of Gregory Nowak

Gregory Leo Nowak, 57 year old resident of Doniphan died July 19, 2007 at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Nowak was born November 28, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan and had lived most of his life in Ripley County. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Doniphan Special Road District and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Ripley County Fox and Wolf Hunter's Association and St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mr. Nowak had served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. On April 18, 1969 in Doniphan he was married to Elaine (Spears) Nowak. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Tonja Prater of Doniphan; two brothers, Mark and Steve Nowak, both of Fairdealing; two sisters, Georgia Campbell of Fairdealing, and Susan Nowak of Advance, MO. Also surviving are three grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Nowak will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, at the Doniphan United Methodist Church.
