Obituary of Karmun Lavon King

Karmun Lavon King, 83, departed this life Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, AR. He was born November 25, 1937 in Warm Springs, AR to the late Karmun Ludoph and Nova (Sorrell) King.
After graduating from high school, Lavon entered the United States Navy. He was stationed in Hawaii on a submarine. Lavon was an entrepreneur. He received his pilot’s license at the age of 60 and flew small planes. He owned and operated a motorcycle shop and attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally over 20 years in a row. After closing his shop, Lavon opened a screening shop. Even at the age of 85, Lavon would ride around his RV park and offer assistance when needed.
Surviving is his niece, Jamie Welch of Montgomery City, MO; great-nephews, Jeremiah Jackman, also of Montgomery City, and Joshua (Michelle) Scott of Longview, WA; and his companion, Delores Brower, and her son, Harold, who were very dear to him.
In addition to his parents, Lavon was preceded in death by his sister, Geneva Crook.
Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Danny Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Briar Oak Ridge Cemetery.
