Constance “Connie” Anna Pierce, 69-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1951 in Mount Pleasant, IA to the late John and Burnis (McGuire) Smith.
Connie was a Respiratory Therapist. She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and Doniphan United Methodist Church. Connie enjoyed reading, cooking, and sewing. She loved her grandbabies dearly.
On April 8, 1972, Connie married Allen Pierce in Doniphan. He preceded her in death in October, 1993. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rena Battles and Candy Yarber, and one brother, Richard Smith.
Surviving are her children, Shiela (Jason) Seter, Larissa Pierce, and Shane (Tabitha) Pierce, all of Doniphan; sisters, Siegrid (Randy) Maness of Doniphan and Christina Payne of Poplar Bluff, MO; and her grandchildren, Traci, Corben, Braxton, Ava, Eleia, Kailey, Adallen, Lucas, and Raynee.
Visitation will be at Edwards Funeral Home beginning at noon on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Kent Wilfong officiating. Burial will be in the Ponder Catholic Cemetery.
