Obituary of Patricia Ann Mangold

Patricia Ann Mangold, 68, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born February 16, 1953 in Hayti, MO to the late George and Jewel D. “Cowboy” (Joyner) Luye.
Pat loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, especially growing beautiful flowers. She even liked to mow the lawn. Fishing was also on her list of favorite things to do. Pat spent many years traveling with her husband, Mike, as they drove with over-the-road trucking. She loved to drive and would drive anything ranging from often speeding in her car to driving a dump truck which prepared her for her career in truck driving. Pat didn’t have any children of her own but loved babies. With that love of children, she was a wonderful “nanny” to her great-niece, Riane Murray, and great-nephew, Cypruss Leroux.
On April 1, 1972, Pat married Mike Mangold in Doniphan. He survives. Also surviving are her sisters, Jenny Steen and Jo McGonigal, both of Doniphan; sister-in-law, Crystal Lyons of Austin, TX; nieces, Lisa Wilson and Rona Steen; and nephews, Lafeus McGonigal, Travis Luye, Tiger Tuff Lyons, and Colt Wrangler Lyons; and great nephew, Cypruss Leroux.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her stepmother, Elizabeth (Moss) Luye.
The family will have a private memorial.
